1) Address It Properly -- Know your legislator's full name and correct spelling.
2) Be Sure To Include Your Name & Address; and  
3) Use Your Own Words

Letters to addresses in Washington, D.C. may be delayed in delivery due to inspections.
It may be quicker to phone or e-mail national officials.
